PlayStation 4 (officially abbreviated to PS4) is the fourth PlayStation console, the second Sony console to be designed by Mark Cerny, and is part of the eighth generation of video consoles. It was officially announced on February 20, 2013 at the PlayStation Meeting 2013 event, although the console design was not presented until June 10 at E3 2013. It is the successor to the PlayStation 3 and competes with Nintendo’s Wii U and Switch and Microsoft’s Xbox One. Its launch was on November 15, 2013 in the United States and in Europe and South America was on November 29, 2013, while in Japan it was on February 22, 2014.
Moving away from the complex architecture used in the Cell processor of the PlayStation 3 game console, the PlayStation 4 has an 8-core AMD processor under the x86-64 architecture. These x86-64 instructions are designed to make it easier to develop video games on the next generation console, which attracts more developers. These changes highlight Sony’s effort to improve on the lessons learned during the development, production and launch of the PS3. Other notable hardware features of the PS4 include 8GB of GDDR5 unified memory, a faster Blu-ray Disc drive, and custom chips dedicated to audio, video, and background processing tasks.
Among the new applications and services, Sony launched the PlayStation App, allowing those with a PS4 to turn smartphones and tablets into a second screen for enhanced gameplay or into external keyboards for more typing comfort. The company also planned to debut Gaikai, a cloud-based gaming service that hosts downloadable content and games. By incorporating the “Share” button on the new controller makes it possible to share screenshots, trophies, purchases or videos at any time on pages such as Facebook, Twitter and to stream what is played and see that of other friends live from Ustream or Twitch, Sony planned to place more emphasis on social gaming. The PS4 console on the first day of its launch sold more than 1 million consoles in the United States alone. At the start of its press conference at Gamescom 2014, Sony announced that it had already sold more than 10,000,000 PlayStation 4 units worldwide to end users. It is designed for extensive integration with PlayStation Vita.
The current console firmware is 7.51, which improves the stability of the console.
In early 2013, Sony announced that an event called PlayStation Meeting 2013 would serve to publicize the “future of Playstation”. On February 20, 2013 the event took place in New York and lasted about two hours the company announced the successor to the PlayStation 3.9 The announcement was offered live via Ustream.
At the 2013 GDC conference, Sony presented new details about the video games and features of the PlayStation 4. Among the games shown were Primal Carnage Genesis, Blacklight Retribution, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
On June 10, 2013, at 18:00 (Pacific Time) Sony held a conference, in which more details were given, and it showed the PlayStation 4, among them, finally the design, price and launch. Some details that were revealed are that the video game console could play used video games, as long as they are original, and it would not need an Internet connection to play them. Finally, the presentation concluded with the price, which turned out to be 399 dollars, 349 pounds and 399 euros, which was very impressive, since its competitor the Xbox One would cost 499 US dollars, 429 pounds and 499 euros.
On August 20, 2013, at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) Sony began its conference at Gamescom 2013. At the conference, several titles for PS VITA, PS3 and PS4 were announced. In addition, the launch date of PS4 in the United States and Europe was announced. In Europe the PS4 was released on November 29, 2013 at a price of 399. In the United States the PS4 went on sale on November 15th 2013 at a price of 399 dollars. In addition, several demonstrations of the use of the PS4 were made through the PS VITA.
On September 18, 2013, at 6:00 a.m: 00 PM (Pacific Time) Sony began its conference at the Tokyo Game Show 2013, announcing the capabilities of the PS4 to be able to record gameplay directly from the HDMI of the console (and not by HDCP as in the PS3),25 also announced features of compatibility between the PS4 with the PS VITA and the PS VITA TV, such as Remote Play and a special emphasis on demonstrating the integration with the PlayStation Vita TV which can be used to move the game to it and, continue in a different screen and with the DualShock 4 without any problem. The latter feature has been available since the launch. In addition, it was confirmed that February 22nd 2014 would be the official launch date of the console in Japan, at a price of 41,979 yen, and due to the delay in that country the consoles would include the digital version of Knack.
The design of the console was not revealed at the PlayStation Meeting, as the design and specifications were still not finalized. The weight of the console would be around 2.8kg and the total box would be around 4kg.27 The technology of PlayStation 4 would be relatively similar to the hardware found in personal computers.28 At one point in the development it was contemplated that Nvidia would manufacture the graphics unit for PS4 but according to statements by Tony Tamasi, Nvidia’s vice president of content and technology this would not be in the company’s best interest because of the impact it would have on its possibilities in other markets.29 With the decision to move Cell’s architecture to x86-64 it would be easier and less expensive for studios to develop games for the PS4.3031 The physical console was finally presented at Sony’s PS4 conference on June 10, 2013 at E3 2013, as well as revealing more detailed data about the device and peripherals.
The PS4 game console has an eight-core x86-64 to 1.6 GHZ APU microprocessor manufactured by AMD under the code name Liverpool, based on the Jaguar architecture. An AMD 787032 GPU with a processing power of 1.84 Teraflops, which can be used for a variety of tasks other than graphics only. It also has a unified RAM of 8 GB, GDDR5, with a bandwidth of 176 GB/second.34 At the end of August 2013, Marc Diana, AMD’s product marketing manager, told the trade press that PS4 supports hUMA35(heterogeneous UMA) memory access, which allows both APU components, CPU and GPU, to access the same memory locations simultaneously through the use of consistent caches.36 While AMD disavowed Diana’s statements, it did not disavow them.
While the type of hard drive was unknown, the capacity would be in the already announced 500GB model, it was known that the optical drive would support Blu-ray 6x and DVD 8x. In terms of connectivity, the console would have Ethernet (10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T), 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 (with EDR). It would offer HDMI ports, optical digital output and USB 3.0(2X).
The PS4 console has an early warning system that warns when the console begins to rise in temperature due to lack of air circulation, indicating this with a red light instead of blue in the console’s status bar. In addition, a warning appears on the screen showing the alert about the rise in operating temperature. With this system it would be possible to avoid deterioration and subsequent failure of the console due to excessive temperature, something that happened in some of the first console units manufactured in the previous generation.
At the presentation of the PS4, Sony did not show the shape of the console, but it did show two of its accessories, the DualShock 4 wireless control and the PlayStation 4 Eye camera. A day after the presentation, Shuhei Yoshida announced that the control of the PS3, the DualShock 3 would not be compatible with the PS4 but the PS Move with the new PlayStation 4 Eye. Later in the E3 Sony would show completely the peripherals more detailed, showing also the mono headset with microphone that would be included in all the systems of launch. A representative of Sony confirmed in the Comic Con in San Diego in reference to the compatibility of accessories that, the old wireless headsets of PS3 would work also and without any problem in the PS4.
DualShock 4 is the name given to the PlayStation 4 controller. In its design it roughly follows the controller used by the PS3, and is available in three colors, black, red (Magma) and blue (Wave). In its creation were involved studies close to Sony such as Guerrilla Games, which participated by making adjustments such as raising the sticks for accuracy and adding the headphone connector, Evolution Studios also participated as part of the group of consultants with ideas for the area of movement aimed at the racing game sector. The main innovations were the incorporation of a new highly sensitive six-axis sensor, as well as a touchpad located on the top front of the controller. It also incorporates a light bar on the top of the controller formed by three different colored LED lights. This last addition is intended, among other functions, to facilitate player identification through simple color codes detected by the PlayStation 4 Eye, making it possible, for example, that when a player exchanges controls with another player while on a split screen, these screens also exchange positions, bringing the screen closer together as needed; and to provide useful information during the games, such as indicating by means of red lighting that the character’s health has suffered significant damage. In this regard, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, had confirmed through Twitter that the light could not be turned off from the control. 46 The driver also includes a speaker and a headphone jack which is compatible with the TRS and TRRS (3.5mm) standard to support the use of headphones with a built-in microphone. It is priced at $59.45 As in the DualShock 3, Sony introduced a base for charging the Dualshock 4
Finally, the controller incorporates a button called share designed to facilitate player interaction with Twitter, Ustream, Twitch, YouTube and other specifications detailed below.
PlayStation Camera has been redesigned for PS4 in relation to its predecessor. It includes a dual camera system with a resolution of 1280×800 and four microphones. It measures 186 mm (length) by 27 mm (height) and 27 mm (width).
According to the official website and the video presentation, The PlayRoom allows users to have on-screen menus that simulate holograms that emerge directly from Dualshock 4; The Playroom has a robotic character called Asobi, with whom you can interact and who can recognize them. Advanced motion controls are used to enjoy games such as air field hockey; and the DualShock 4’s integrated touch pad can be used to navigate the holographic panels, interact with dozens of small robots or move objects on the screen. In addition to this, Sony warned that the integration of mobile devices would be possible, so that creations on smartphones, tablets and, as expected, with the PlayStation Vita, come to life through The PlayRoom.
PlayStation 4 Eye lenses work with an aperture of f/2.0, a minimum focus distance of 30cm and an angle of view of 85°. Images can be captured in RAW or YUV uncompressed format. It was removed from the launch packages to lower the final cost of the system, its final price is the same as the $59 Dualshock 4. Among the new features will be voice commands to control the console.
Share Play is a feature that allows the PlayStation Vita to connect to the PlayStation 4 via a Wi-Fi network. When this happens, PlayStation 4 games can be played on the PlayStation Vita, allowing you to play as a secondary controller or a primary controller. Fergal Gara director of Sony Computer Entertainment UK had confirmed that the PS Vita was designed with integration with the PS4 rather than the PS3 in mind, because of this all PS4 games would be compatible with the Remote Play and only in some special cases where games need additional hardware would not, such is the case of games that require the PlayStation 4 Eye, a point confirmed by Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios
Sony PlayStation VR also previously known under the key name of Project Morpheus, during its development was first announced on March 18, 2014 at the Game Developers Conference but in 2015 it was announced that Project Morpheus had been named PlayStation VR, it has a 5.7 inch OLED panel, with a subpixel matrix RGB resolution of 1080p, or 960 × 1080 × RGB per eye. The display also has a processor box that allows video output from the Social Display to the TV, as well as processing 3D sound effects, and uses a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has 9 position LEDs on its surface for PlayStation Camera to track 360 degree head movement, and connects to the PlayStation 4 platform via HDMI and USB, works with its PlayStation Move DualShock 4 PlayStation VR Aim Controller controllable accessories; with an official launch date scheduled for October 2016 for an equivalent cost ($399).
The “Social” part was one of the five major principles discussed by Sony. Although the console has improved social functionality, the features are optional and can be disabled. Players have the option of using their real names for friends to recognize, plus a nickname in other situations where they said “anonymity is important”.
The DualShock 4 controller includes a button called “Share”, which allows the player to record and view up to the last 60 minutes and share them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
“The integration of Ustream into PS4 will put players in a new media arena. They have the ability to direct, produce and star in their own video game production, simply by being an incredible (or not so impressive!) player”.
PlayStation Network is available in nearly 80 countries
PlayStation Network (PSN) allows players to access a variety of PlayStation Store cloud-based services, including Sony applications such as Music Unlimited and also Video Unlimited. Customers can browse the titles and games through Gaikai to try them out almost instantly.6364 Online multiplayer access requires a PlayStation Plus subscription. Sony intended to expand and develop the services it offers throughout the life of PlayStation 4, something that attracted attention because for a very low price you can:
Receive two free games every month for PS4 for being a PlayStation Plus member
To have almost free services like being able to enter Netflix, Amazon.com, Hulu among others. All this for the price of 5 USD per month.
The user profile for players is improved, showing recent activity, their full name and other details, as well as their unlocked trophies. The PS4 home screen features personalized content from friends.63 Services from third-party providers, such as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, can also be accessed in the new interface. Several tasks can be performed during the game, such as opening a web browser while a game is playing.
In 2013, a license for a PlayStation 4 development kit cost $2,500 for a five-year period or be free for first-time developers, if a deal is reached with Sony.
PlayStation 4 supports the following physical disc movie formats
These formats were made compatible, thanks to an update published for this purpose a relatively short time after the launch.
In its release, PlayStation 4 did not take into account, nor consider the possibility of CD, MP3 or DLNA support, because it was not considered an important feature at the time, however due to the large number of complaints received by annoying users, and some customers who were considering canceling their order, Sony had to reconsider and in response the development team had announced a future software update, which would enable this feature on all PS4.
Some rumors, pointed out that this lack of compatibility was a hook to generate more subscriptions to the Sony Unlimited online music service. However, Shuhei Yoshida, a member of the development team, denied this rumor and stated that they were working hard on the update that would enable the playback of these popular music formats, as well as considering adding more compatibilities in future updates, noting that PS4 can also be a reliable multimedia center.
Sony Computer Entertainment America’s CEO, Jack Tretton, said PlayStation 4 games would range in price from $0.99 to $60.73 in addition to the fact that no game on the PS4 like its predecessor the PS3 would have regional blocking, and confirmed that PlayStation 4 games have no system for blocking used games, so used games can be sold, loaned or given away, as the purchase of a game means it is owned forever, according to Sony.
Sony hoped to make it easier for independent game developers to develop titles for the PS4. The company revealed that it would allow developers to self-publish their titles on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The system has downloadable content similar to those currently available on other PlayStation platforms. In addition to the games on physical media that can be purchased in the store, the games could be downloaded on the same day as the physical ones. Moreover, all games can be tested for free. Sony would not prohibit the use of second-hand games purchased in physical form and there would be no need for the console to be connected 24 hours a day to validate the legitimacy of the game.
When you buy a game online, only a portion of it needs to be downloaded to start playing. While the rest will be downloaded while playing. This is achieved thanks to the system’s secondary backup processor.
When you select a title online, only a part of the game data has to be transferred to the system before it can be started (for example, the first level), with the remaining parts being downloaded during the game, which reduces the waiting time. If users prefer to play their game directly from the disk, PS4 will install the data on the hard disk during the game, which eliminates the loading times, in short, you can play the game that is being downloaded but when you play it and it is being downloaded you cannot use the online mode. This is achieved through the system’s background processor. Similarly, system updates are downloaded smoothly in the background without interruption. The PS4 also has the technology that tries to determine trends, (example: The player can put what types of games he likes, and the system displays which ones are indicated according to the preferences that the player put) and then automatically downloads a small percentage of those games in the background, even in sleep mode, in order to save time.
If the need arises to end a gaming session in a short time, the PS4 will enter a low power state and suspend its game at the precise point where the player was left, so that later, when full power is restored, the player can quickly resume where he left off. Sony says that “the time it takes today to boot up a console and load a saved game will be a thing of the past”.
At the Tokyo Game Show 2013, Sony confirmed that the PS4 would be backwards compatible with PS3 games through the cloud, using its Gaikai platform, a company acquired by Sony in July 2012. The service emulates and makes previous generations of PlayStation games available to PS4, PlayStation Vita and Vita TV over the Internet.
In November 2015 Sony announced through PlayStation Experience that PlayStation 284 games could be played on PlayStation 4 by means of emulation. These games are available at the PlayStation Store.
The PlayStation App allows those who have a PS4 to turn their smartphones into a second screen, this application takes the social experience within video games to a new level, giving users the entertainment not only of the games themselves, but also of other people’s games: they can now know when a friend has bought a new title, or can see what others are playing via broadcast, as well as being able to send invitations to multiplayer games and connect directly to social networks.85 It is available for iOS and Android. Through this application, you can connect your phone to the PlayStation 4, and access new functions of this console or also the games for Vita. This application gives developers a lot of freedom to easily implement it in the features of video games.
Phil Molyneux, Sony’s president and CEO had confirmed in an interview with The Verge, that the PlayStation 4 video game console would have a 4K resolution movie distribution service. Each 4K movie can be approximately 100GB or more in size. Due to the size, Sony was in a search for solutions supporting compression methods and the sale in physical format was not ruled out.
On September 7, 2016, Sony announced a hardware revision of the PlayStation 4, whose model is the CUH-2000, and unofficially named the PlayStation 4 Slim. It is a revision of the original PS4 hardware with some corrections and smaller size. It has a rounded body with a matte finish on top of the console instead of a two-tone finish, and is 40% smaller in size than the original model. The two USB ports on the front have more space between them, and the optical audio port has been removed.
The main improvement over the original is that the CUH-2000 consumes less electrical power than the original, and because it heats up less by consuming less power, the console fan does not need to turn as fast most of the time, so the CUH-2000 makes much less noise than the original.
It was launched on September 15, 2016, with a 500 GB model at the same price as the original model. In addition, it is also available with 1 TB of hard disk capacity.
PlayStation 4 Pro was released on 7 September 2016 and launched worldwide on 10 November 2016. Its model is the CUH-7000. It is an updated version of the PlayStation 4 with more powerful hardware that allows to play 4K Natives(depending on the Software being run) or resized in others through the checkboarding process, plus an improvement in the performance of PlayStation VR.
It includes an updated GPU with 4.2 teraflops of power and a higher CPU clock, plus 1 Gb of additional DDR3 memory. PS4 Pro supports 4K videos, but does not support Ultra HD Blu-ray, using the conventional Blu-ray reader of the Slim model.
Most PS4 pro games can be adjusted to get better graphics, more FPS (frames per second) or to play them at a variable resolution of up to almost 4K, although only some re-edited or less demanding titles like The Last of Us Remastered, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or NBA 2K17 work at 4K Native.
A good example of a game that includes these options on PS4 Pro is Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Improved graphics mode: The game will run at 1080p and 30 fps but with graphic improvements.
Higher fps: The game will run at 1080p and 60 fps without graphic improvements.
4K: The game runs at almost 4K with Checkerboard rendering and 30 fps without any graphical improvements.

And the truth is that the PlayStation 4 top games show a varied and enormous quality catalog, both for the exclusive games and for the multiplatform video games versions. These are the must-have of the console: The Last f Us Part II, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Bloodborne, God of War, Uncharted 4…
The fourth console of desktop of Sony takes already almost five years between us and though his beginnings were something shy already nobody can doubt of his tremendous success. PS4 has already sold more than 100 million units, is the fourth best-selling video game machine in history, and the second most popular desktop console (behind PS2).
Far from the memory are the features that most caught our attention at its launch, such as the redesign of the DualShock 4 controllers, with a touch panel and a light on the front, or the incorporation of the Share button, which allowed images and videos of our games to be shared on the spot on the most popular social networks. We’ll see what PS5 surprises us with when it’s launched at the end of 2020.
The eighth generation started slowly and with some setbacks, with a lot of remakes and intergenerational games that didn’t take full advantage of the machine. That’s why some of the titles in this collection can also be found among the top 20 PS3 games. Although as the generation has progressed, the hardware has been better used.
In this list we have given priority to the best multiplatform games, and have made room for exclusive titles that could not be missing. Having said that we don’t make you wait any longer, here you have our ranking with the best PlayStation 4 games.

God of War is a masterpiece, in which every individual aspect of the game is combined to complete a violent, moving and unforgettable adventure, whose Nordic setting has conquered us. Its only weak point is the feeling that the best is yet to come in future installments… But there is no doubt that God of War is one of the essential games of PS4.
Developer: Kojima Productions

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear saga, proposes an atypical adventure that is about connecting in different ways: connecting with other people in a world on the verge of extinction, connecting with our past, connecting with other players in the asynchronous online mode and connecting with our past. Death Stranding is a work of art, one of the best current PS4 games, which shines both in its technical execution and in history and approach. Special mention to the performance of actors such as Norman Reedus (Sam Porter Bridges) and Mads Mikkelsen (Cliff Unger).

Final Fantasy VII Remake is the long-awaited review by one of the most beloved JRPGs in history. Square Enix took the Midgar part (a segment that in the original lasts no more than four hours) and turned it into a complete game, with new storylines on all fronts, a combat system halfway between the turns and the action and an audiovisual section to dream. The big question is… When does Final Fantasy VII Remake 2 arrive?

If the raw material, the original PSX Resident Evil 2 was already good, this “remake” is spectacular. Without a doubt it is one of the best games of PS4, that knows how to take advantage of the classic history; the encounter of the novice policeman Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield in the city of Raccoon infested with zombies, and that provides it with the “varnish” of an updated gameplay and a technical leading section. Resident Evil 2 recovered the two parallel stories, the chases of Mr. X and the terrifying appearance of the Licker, and has modernized them in an impeccable way.

FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games have been the most influential of this generation. In Sekiro Shadows Die Twice they slightly change the rules of Dark Souls. It is no longer a pure RPG where we can improve our skills with experience (although we do learn new moves) and the combat is not focused on the dodges, but on stopping the attacks with our sword at the right moment. This way we subtract “posture” from our enemies, allowing us to deliver fatal blows. Sekiro is a difficult, beautiful and exciting game that deserves to be in this list of the best games of PS4.

Persona 5 Royal is the extended version of the fantastic JRPG from Atlus. If the original was already a game with a duration that easily exceeded 100 hours, the enormous amount of additions that includes the Royal version extends and justifies to live again the history of the Phantom Thieves. A new semester, new playable character, changes in the palaces… But without a doubt the most remarkable addition is that for the first time in the saga, Persona 5 Royal arrived translated into Spanish. The cherry on top for a real gem.

Remasterings, when done well, are cause for celebration. And this is precisely the case of GTA V, which in addition to showing a graphic section much higher than the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, added a lot of new content, among which the first-person mode stands out. So there is no one who can resist returning to Los Santos.

In addition to one of the best games on PS4, Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most fun, entertaining and varied titles we have played in a long time on the Sony console. There are experience points, materials to forge new objects, weapons, protections… The character progress system of the numbered deliveries has been preserved, that is, that skills are acquired as we level up and are activated using PH.

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA
Developer: Sucker Punch
Launch: July 17, 2020
Genre: action adventure
It comes with the label of being “the last great exclusive of PS4”. Sucker Punch, developers of the sagas Infamous or Sly Cooper, addresses its most ambitious development: a sandbox set in the era of the samurai. We move to the 13th century, during the Mongolian invasion of the island of Tsushima, in Japan, and we embody Jin Sakai, one of the last warriors capable of facing the invader. Ghost of Tsushima offers exploration of exquisitely beautiful surroundings, a very deep combat system (inspired by games such as Sekiro or Nioh), and a good handful of mini-games based on the philosophy of bushido -such as tameshigiri, composing haikus, praying in inari shrines…-. This open world offers an innovative system of indicators, since in Ghost of Tsushima we don’t have to follow icons on stage, but are guided by elements of nature, such as the wind, the birds or the foxes that cross the stage.

After many years (and cancelled projects) finally, Star Wars fans received an action adventure for one player in which we controlled a Jedi knight. Respawn, developers of Titanfall and Apex Legends, took elements from other adventures; the exploration of Uncharted, the combat of Sekiro, the level design of Dark Souls, and combined it masterfully in a story that runs between Episode III The Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not only one of the best games based on this franchise, but it can be considered as one of the great adventures of PS4.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is a first-person survival horror, being the first of the main saga numbered in this perspective. In the case of the PlayStation 4 version, you can enjoy the game in virtual reality with PS VR. Despite the change of perspective, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard returns to the origins of the saga.
The players live an authentic experience with elements of exploration, puzzles and a crisp atmosphere; and with the classic inventory system, but with limited space, which means that the players have to choose very well what they want to take with them and make sure to take their green herbs.

The “Big Boss”, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Hideo Kojima bids farewell with an impeccable adventure in the technical and sublime in the playable but, above all, with a love letter to the fans who have accompanied him during all this time. His story may have moved you to tears or disappointed you enormously, but one thing is certain: MGS V should be in every player’s collection.
Developer: Team Ninja
Launch: March 13, 2020
After the good results of the first Nioh, Team Ninja returned to the “soulslike” formula with Nioh 2, a sequel that maintains the identity marks of the first one, such as the precise action, the role-playing elements and a difficulty not suitable for the heart, but adding several new features, the main one being the possibility of transforming into Yokai and using the skills of these creatures of Japanese folklore.
So far our list of the best PS4 games to date. A list of PlayStation 4 must-have games that we will be expanding as new titles are released that are worthy of being here, among the best of the best of the Sony console.
